Aspen Technology, Inc. announced that Samsung Total Petrochemicals has deployed aspenOne Planning and Scheduling at its Olefins and Aromatics plants in Daesan, Korea.
Based on initial results, Samsung Total reported it expects to achieve $5 million in annual savings by using aspenOne software.
aspenOne Planning and Scheduling for Olefins helps fill the gap between planning and production execution, and completes Samsung Total’s vision of a fully integrated, multi-level process optimization system.
Samsung Total Petrochemicals (formerly Samsung General Chemicals) was established as a joint venture between the Samsung and the Total Group, a global French energy and chemical company. Samsung Total operates a petrochemical complex consisting of 15 individual plants located in Daesan, Korea.
AspenTech is a supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing – for energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, engineering and construction, and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process.
